A chain lanyard (ratchet) is a cable tensioner with a ratchet mechanism in which the force is transmitted by the action of a lever handle. Such mechanisms are used for stretching chains during construction and installation works and cargo transportation as part of a chain tie system.
Lanyards are equipped with a locking mechanism that prevents spontaneous loosening of the tensioner.
